In addition to the answers already posted, I'd like to add that some people feel motion sickness when playing a 3D game with "unsuitable" FOV settings (and "fixing" the FOV makes the motion sickness go away), while some people are a lot more tolerant. This is related to how brain and the body of the person behaves.

People tend to get motion sickness on a moving boat, train, plane, or car, but it’s also possible to get it when watching a moving scene on the big screen. Some people can get nauseous even thinking about take-off on a plane or boat. Aug 12, 2016 · NMS's maximum FOV (at a guess) appears to be no more than 80. Don't just read that 100 and think everything is fine. If you are getting motion sickness, it's because the FOV is too low. Don't put up with it - it's not healthy.
greetings, I have a very niche issue where im getting motion sickness from the character movement - it happens from time to time with first person based games (its a gamble) - however, there are usually a few thing you can do to remedy this. I see that there are various console commands which allow you to change the FOV above 75 which is great, however, I was wondering if there is a setting ...
Nov 10, 2015 · Here are some other tips to help with reducing or eliminating motion sickness while playing Skyrim: Increase FOV to 90 An increased field of view gives you more visual context in which to interpret your movements, reducing motion sickness. 90 or more is a good value. My wife used 92 and it helped her a lot. Although there is a console command to set your fov, it only applies to the current session. You can edit your ini files for a permanent change.
May 08, 2012 · I've been unable to play Minecraft for PC for the last year. Up until a certain point (March 2011), I was able to play Minecraft for hours on end without issue. Since then I can still play, but after about 5-10 minutes I start to get a feeling of motion sickness. It's not so much nausea, but actual motion sickness.
